It's definitely the best, big-screen budget laptop I've tested in recent memory. And given its trim design and light weight, I'm willing to make the argument that it is one of the best budget laptops regardless of size. If your laptop budget doesn't stretch as far as a MacBook Air (or you prefer Windows to MacOS), then the Aspire 16 AI is a great do-it-all laptop that nearly all can afford.

The Acer Aspire 16 AI is a serious value at $1,099, combining a CPU with speedy single-core performance, a surprisingly fast GPU that can play more games than you might expect, and an NPU that lives up to Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC requirements. Plus, you get 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It’s tempting to overlook this machine’s strengths because of Lunar Lake’s compromises. Yes, you aren’t getting the battery life you would on other Lunar Lake machines. And yes, the multithreaded performance here is low because Lunar Lake doesn’t have enough cores. However, for the average PC user picking up a 16-inch machine with integrated graphics, this is one of the absolute best options. Between the solid single-threaded CPU performance, impressive GPU, and all-around decent hardware, the average PC user would be happier with this machine than a laptop with a faster CPU and a GPU that can’t handle modern games. At an MSRP of $1,099, the Acer Aspire 16 AI is excellent value for a midrange laptop.

The Acer Aspire 16 AI has decent everyday performance and a pleasing thin and light form that makes it both stylish and practical. The bright and clear OLED display on my review unit was also a highlight. However, it isn’t great for demanding workloads, and its AI features are oversold. Combined with some build quality issues and its relatively high price for top-tier models, the Aspire 16 AI starts to look like a less impressive proposition, with its rivals offering better all-round packages.

The Acer Aspire 16 AI is an excellent large-screen laptop with solid power, a fantastic port selection and a brilliant high-res OLED screen for a more modest price. It follows well in the footsteps of its smaller brother, although its battery life is a little disappointing against its rivals. The likes of the LG Gram Pro 16 and Asus Zenbook S 16 (2024) will provide you with more in the way of endurance, a bit more style and a lighter chassis, although they cost a fair bit more than Acer’s choice. If you want a big-screen laptop that has very few compromises and will get the job done for a good price, the Aspire 16 AI is well worth a look. Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: A Snapdragon X Plus 8-magos X1P-42-100 SoC integrált grafikus adapterrel rendelkezik. A gyorsabb, 3,8 TFLOPS és 4,6 TFLOPS-os X1-85 iGPU-khoz képest ez nem csak alacsonyabb órajelen fut, de kevesebb egyesített shaderrel is rendelkezik, valószínűleg 768-zal. Az alapul szolgáló architektúra állítólag nem sokban különbözik az Adreno 730-asban használtaktól. Ami a játékteljesítményét illeti, az éppen csak elegendő a 2020 előtti játékokhoz olyan felbontásoknál, mint a HD 720p, alacsony grafikai beállítások mellett.
