The Summit 13 AI+ Evo’s lackluster performance is certainly a downside and it makes the laptop harder to recommend, as 14-inch competitors often deliver a better balance of portability and performance. If battery life is your number one priority, though, the Summit 13 AI+ Evo should be on your list.

The MSI Summit 13 AI+ Evo A2VM performs very well for a 2-in-1 laptop. Its dual-fan thermal system with two heat pipes cools the Core Ultra 7 258V respectably well, given the thin chassis. The CPU sustains a high 2.73 GHz / 3.19 GHz P and LP-E core clock in long loads. This leads to good overall snapiness. The iGPU also packs a punch, and it’s nitrocharged by the fast LPDDR5x-8533 MHz RAM. The build quality is mind-blowingly solid. The metal device and its dark finish have some weaknesses, like the non-fingeprint coating and, yes, you can’t open the lid with one hand. On the flip side, the keyboard is great for long hours of typing, and the touchpad amazes us with its smoothness and accuracy.

While we would be griping about that price if this were a consumer model, the inflated price tag is pretty common for business and professional laptops. And if you’re going to use the Summit 13 as your work laptop and work laptop only, it’s a strong contender. But if you want to use the Summit 13 AI+ Evo as your personal laptop that you sometimes use for work, we would advise against it.
