Casio debuts 5 new lightweight digital watches with Tough Solar and Multiband 6

The Casio Baby-G BGA-3000 series watches have been unveiled in Japan. The Japanese watchmaker has released five models under the Baby-G BGA-3000 lineup, including the BGA-3000-5A, the BGA-3000-7A, the BGA-3000-2A, the BGA-3000-5A, the BGA-3000C-2A, and the BGA-3000CG-5A. All five models feature a 36 mm resin case paired with a stainless steel bezel. 

Speaking of bands, the former three models ship with a resin band, while the latter two come with a composite band made of both metal and resin. The resin models weigh 32 grams (1.12 ounces). In comparison, the composite band models are slightly on the heavier side, weighing around 50 grams (1.76 ounces). The Casio Baby-G BGA-3000 has an easy-to-read analog dial adorned with hour markers and two analog hands. One round inset digital display shows information like the date and settings. 

The digital-analog watches come with a range of practical features, including radio control (Multiband 6), Tough Solar charging, 100 m (10 bar) water resistance, 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 60-minute timer, an alarm, and an LED backlight, which improves readability in low-light conditions. 

In Japan, you can now preorder the BGA-3000-5A, the BGA-3000-7A, the BGA-3000-2A, and the BGA-3000-5A watches for ¥33,000 ($208). The composite band models are slightly pricier than the resin models. The BGA-3000C-2A (silver-tone) watch is priced at ¥39,050 ($247), while the BGA-3000CG-5A model finished in pink-gold tone costs ¥42,350 ($268).
