Ultimately, the biggest drawback of the ProArt PX13 is its middling battery stamina, though the suite of built-in power profiles mitigate at least some of the concern for me. For anyone planning on docking the PC or leaving it plugged into AC at least some of the time, the situation is more than tenable. As mentioned earlier on, Asus has refreshed the PX13 for 2026 with a slightly newer AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, while also adding in the ability to move conventional RAM into VRAM. This 2026 model has a new and less power-hungry accelerated processing unit (APU) design that should improve the performance per watt ratio when compared to my review model. With this in mind, if you can find the 2025 PX13 at a discounted price, and you don't mind its somewhat middling battery life, it'll serve you well for the majority of intensive creative endeavors and gaming sessions you might throw its way.

It may not be the most powerful laptop on the market, but for a 2-in-1 laptop, it manages to offer reliable performance for tasks like video and photo editing, graphic design, digital drawing, and even a bit of gaming. The ASUS Dial integrated into the touchpad, as well as support for ASUS Pen 2.0, offers intuitive and convenient interactions with creative software, although they might take time to get used to. I really wish that laptop offered a display with a faster refresh rate , and maybe better battery life. But overall, the ASUS ProArt PX13 is a solid package.

It’s wild how much better this GoPro Edition laptop is. Not only are all the benchmark scores higher, but I also saw over three times the battery life (up to 13 hours) on this new machine. For your $3K, you get some nice bundled extras, including two cases and a smart pen – but they all have their own flaws. The move to Strix Halo has liberated this 13-inch machine from bad battery life and turned it into a serious portable creation station. And looking past the lack of a full-size SD card slot and the weird StoryCube and MusTree apps, this has the chops to really power through your workload. As someone who daily drives a MacBook Pro for all my video, music, and graphic design work, a few weeks with this have shown me that there is a world outside of Apple where I can get things done.
