Xiaomi was among the first companies to launch phones that are powered by the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 line of SoCs. However, both released models are in the Pro series, and at the recent event, the vanilla Xiaomi 18 didn't make it to the stage.

Well, the company did hint that the standard flagship phone for the Xiaomi 18 series will launch soon, and now, a new leak suggests that it will bring decent overall specs. This report, which comes from a notable leaker called The Panda is Bald, states that the non-Pro device will sport a 6.4-inch OLED display, which should make it as compact as the Pro model.

It's said to be an M11 panel, and the tipster notes that it will be a flat display. Like the Xiaomi 18 Pro, it will reportedly be powered by the non-Extreme Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Interestingly, the leaker says that the camera setup of the standard model will be similar as well.

Specifically, The Panda Is Bald reports that the vanilla Xiaomi 18 will sport a 200MP primary camera with a sensor size of 1/1.28-inch, a 200MP telephoto, and a 50MP wide. The tipster notes that the periscope camera will offer 3x optical zoom, which might be the only notable difference from the Pro, as the latter has 3.2x optical zoom (16/512GB curr. $1,374.24 on TradingShenzhen).

Another notable aspect is that the phone will reportedly feature a 7,200mAh battery with 100W fast charging and wireless charging support. This would make the battery department of the vanilla phone better than what the Xiaomi 18 Pro comes with.

Of course, like the last-gen lineup, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to miss out on the secondary screen on the back. It will also be more affordable than the Pro phones.

As for the launch, the leaker suggests it will happen in December 2026 in China, which aligns with previous reports. More concrete details about the Xiaomi 18 could surface in the coming days.
