A Redmi A1 balszerencséje, hogy abban az időszakban került hozzánk, amikor egyéb, szintén olcsó telefonokat is volt alkalmunk tesztelni, vagyis adódott egy merítés ebben a szegmensben és bizony ez a készülék tűnt a leginkább életképtelennek. Ennek oka pedig elsősorban a lélektani pszichés határon túlmutató kelletlenség, amivel minden és bármi történni méltóztatik, és nem azért mondom ezt, mert csúcstelefonok között tengetjük mindennapjainkat, hanem azért, mert itt fent figyel egy videó, ahol négy, hasonló árfekvésű, belépő szintű modellt hasonlítunk össze. És a teendők zömével a Redmi A1 végez a leglassabban. Ehhez csigatempóhoz adódik hozzá a tényleg anakronisztikusnak ható microUSB és a jelzésértékű kamerás teljesítmény, a gyengécske hangszóró, az NFC és a biometrikus azonosítás hiánya pedig tovább rombolja a telefon egyébként sem létező nimbuszát. A pozitívumok között a jó üzemidőt, az FM-rádiót, a barátságosra rajzolt felületet és a minimálisnál jobb szoftverezettséget lehet említeni, de ez vajmi kevés lesz az üdvösséghez, a fontos dolgokban (sebesség, kamera, adatátvitel) ugyanis elhasal a termék, pláne akkor, ha látjuk, hogy ugyanebben az árszegmensben vannak jóval korrektebb ajánlatok, mint amilyen a Moto E40. Fontos és szükséges, hogy legyenek a kínálat legalsó részén is neves gyártóktól ajánlatok, de van egy szint, ami alá már nem illik lemenni. A Redmi A1 ez alatt van.
