Összegzés. Ez egy határozottan jól sikerült telefon, aminek értékelésekor el kell vonatkoztatnunk attól, hogy jelenleg a kínai piacra optimalizált szoftverrel érhető csak el. A gép kialakítása elsőrangú, a Fold 3-nál meglévő esztétikai bakikat ki tudták javítani, remek az összeszerelési minőség, egészen jól eltalált a méret és a forma, jók az arányok, kellően erős, gyors és sokoldalú masina. Kár, hogy nincs IP-védettség, fura, hogy csak 60 Hz-es a külső kijelző, nem ideális a hangszórók elrendezése sem, a csúszós anyaghasználat pedig óvatosságra sarkall. De úgy egyébként tényleg jól sikerült telefon lett a Find N, csak a kínai árát ismerjük, az elég kedvező, nyilván globális forgalmazás mellett ez azért hízna, de jó eséllyel nem érné el azt a szintet, amennyiért Z Fold 3-mat lehet venni. Van benne ötlet, van benne innováció, nagyon minőségi darab, a videózáson még kéne dolgozni, kicsit a külső-belső kijelzőkhöz kapcsolódó szoftveres esetlenségeken is érdemes lenne csiszolni, de ez mindenképpen egy ígéretes első termék az összehajtható telefonok piacára belépv

The display on the Oppo Find N, Oppo’s first foldable smartphone, provided a mixed screen experience. We tested the display in its unfolded state and found that the screen’s brightness was best adapted to indoor use. When taken outdoors, however, the screen’s brightness was unable to go beyond 600 nits (compared with some other current foldable phones that can reach 1,000 nits), making the contents hard to read. The screen also reflected too much ambient light, further affecting readability when outdoors. Otherwise, the display showed smooth interactions in all tested use cases — when gaming, surfing the web, and viewing the gallery, with well-adapted brightness levels for indoor use. The Oppo Find N only displays pictures using the wider Display-P3 color gamut, which tends to give sRGB photos a more saturated look. But the screen’s colors were generally accurate and consistent when viewing photos. The experience, however, was not quite the same when watching videos. Colors tended to be oversaturated, contrast was too strong, and brightness levels were much too low to provide a satisfying video-watching experience.

If, for whatever reason, the Find N forever stays confined to China, we're hoping Oppo keeps this form factor for its second-gen foldable. We also hope it will finally be a global device; there's just no reason to prevent most of the world from being able to enjoy what is an outstanding user experience. And, who knows, maybe a stylus and some water ingress protection will make the cut too, alongside the very necessary third party app optimizations that the original understandably lacks, at least right now.

The Oppo Find N is the most exciting foldable phone that you’ll probably never be able to buy – at least without importing one from China. This is a stellar attempt at a book-style foldable, with premium build quality that surpasses that of Huawei and Samsung in most regards. The small 5.49in cover display provides a more traditional smartphone experience compared to comically tall alternatives, while also providing a smaller pocketable footprint. The hinge system is robust and well-built with no visible gap between the two halves of the display when closed, and the expansive 7.1in internal display looks great with no noticeable crease when viewed head-on. Throw in impressive performance, a strong suite of cameras, and multi-day battery life and you’ve got a stellar foldable smartphone. Let’s just hope it makes it to the West officially one day.

You can go with the Oppo Find N if you are looking for an impressive flagship with a folding screen. This phone seems to be a pretty decent package of hardware, camera, and battery. You get everything covered under this phone from fast wireless and reverse charging. The best class foldable display is presented in the Find N phone by Oppo. In my opinion, you can go with Oppo Find N if you are looking for a foldable phone and your budget allows you. However, the only concern from this phone is heavy in weight and ColorOS UI which might disrupt the user experience with some bloatware applications. If you’ve been using a clean interface for a long time, it will take some time for you to adjust with the foldable phone and Oppo UI. 90% Oppo Find N review: the compact foldable phone promise fulfilled

Overall, Oppo's first foldable phone, the Find N, makes an excellent first impression with its spot-on size or "golden folding ratio" as the company calls it that makes it almost as easy to lug around as a Z Flip, and yet offering much more. The superior camera hardware didn't translate to much better pictures than those from the direct Z Fold 3 or Mate X2 competitors, at least in daylight, but the photos come out nice nonetheless, as does the 4K video recording and time-lapse mode. Battery life and charging times of the Find N are very good, too, unless you browse or game on the main screen for hours. Above all the Find N virtues that we found in the course of this review, however, towers the main display with the best image quality and the most subtle crease on a foldable phone so far, where the new tailored for multitasking ColorOS interface shines bright, productive, and entertaining.

Other than some camera weaknesses, my time with the Find N has left me with one prevailing thought: I wish that the rest of the world could experience and buy this phone. It’s beautiful, it’s powerful, and other than some hiccups in the software localization, it’s got a lot to offer. The hinge, lack of gap, and crease you can’t feel are top-notch. While it shares similar lackluster battery life with other foldables and seriously underwhelming cameras, I’d much rather use the Find N than the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Oppo made a killer good phone here, and I hope we either see it go international or that the follow-up shrugs off the China exclusivity. For people not into foldable phones, then the Oppo Find X5 Pro is rumored to succeed the Find X3 Pro this year, and it's slated to have a neat design and powerful specs.

The OPPO Find N seems to be a polished foldable device, but there are some flaws that give its weakness away. For example, the two screens have different refresh rates – the cover screen is of 60Hz and the bendable screen 120Hz. Another is the absence of ingress protection. And, the on-battery time is terrible. Overall, the Find N seems to be an impressive first attempt by OPPO at making foldables. It is not perfect, but there finally would be a foldable device in the market other than the ones made by Samsung. Importantly, the launch of the Find N in markets outside China may accelerate the growth and adoption of foldable devices. That said, the foldable future now seems more probable!

Still, it’s hard not to be impressed by how much OPPO was able to accomplish with its first try, perhaps making some already look forward to the next OPPO Find N.

Oppo Find N smartphone is the new-gen foldable phone from Oppo that was released in mid-December 2021, and the expected price of this handset is around $1,649 (Rs 1,23,599 in India). From the reports, Oppo is working on this phone for more than 4 years and now it’s in the market. Like any other high-end foldable phone, the device equips an outer screen of 5.49 inches AMOLED, while a 7.1-inches foldable screen is inside. The foldable screen is fabulous as it gets a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10 content support, and 1000 nits brightness. All of that bundle with the performance-driven Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and renders an Adreno 660 GPU. As for the software support, the phone arrives with an Android 11 base with ColorOS 12 customization layering. In terms of the camera end, the phone appears with a flagship-level triple camera that includes a 50MP primary sensor, 13MP telephoto, and 16MP ultra-wide. With this setup, you can record up to 4k videos with gyro-EIS and 32MP selfies present on both primary and secondary screens.

As prefaced previously, the Find N is available for purchase in China for a starting price of 7,699 Yuan, which translates to around Rs 92K. For the price, the device undercuts the Z Fold 3 significantly and despite that, puts forth a compelling package with no deal-breaking compromises. OPPO Find N Review: Combining the best of Samsung and Huawei’s foldables

If we compare the OPPO Find N against competitors, the Find N wins in most cases. The Find N’s screens are clearly superior to the Xiaomi Mix Fold’s screens, which have thicker bezels, slower refresh rates, and a noticeable crease on the inner display. And while the Mix Fold has since gone on discount, if we go by the official retail price, the Find N is cheaper by a thousand-plus yuan or around $200. I can say from my usage, I much prefer the Find N’s form factor and aspect ratio. And judging from many of the comments I’ve seen from my peers in tech media and also readers, I think my opinion is shared by many. But ultimately, it’s the price that makes the Find N a winner. For two years, foldable detractors have mocked the price of foldables. Well now OPPO has made a foldable that is not a cent more expensive than a top-tier flagship. I understand that this is China pricing, and if the Find N gets released internationally, the price will surely jump higher. But even if it gets up to $1,500, this is still not far off from a Samsung Ultra or Apple Max phone.

We have found our next favorite foldable - it's the Find N. Indeed, the Find N made it quite easy to write this - it has an attractive design, an outstanding foldable screen, the cover one is perfectly usable, too, and we are happy with the performance, the camera skills, and the battery life. Not having a crease on the foldable screen was nice, too, while the transition of the content between the two screens with matching colors and brightness literally wowed us. And believe us, this rarely happens these days. The Find N is not an ideal device - there is no official ingress protection, the grip is almost non-existent, we are not fans of the punch-holes, and most importantly - the extremely limited availability. Still, for those of you wondering - the Find N does support Google services, meaning if you've fallen in love with that one, an import from Asia might be an adventure worthy of the hassle. One thing we can say for sure is that the Find N, even if a first-generation foldable from Oppo, gets plenty of things right, and it gets our warm recommendation.

The Oppo Find N is one of the most intriguing smartphones not only this season but for the entire 2021. It is a bit different from the Fold3 and in a good way - the Fold was too big for some, while the Flip - too small. The Find N, on the other hand, is a compact smartphone that unfolds into an iPad mini-like device. And that's just great! It's not all sunshine and roses, though. There is some room for improvement on grip and the way you open the Find. The speakers are oddly positioned, too, but we need more time with them before passing a verdict. And there is no ingress protection, something we believe many have grown to expect since Samsung's recent foldables. We enjoyed our time with the Find N, and we do believe Oppo has a winner here. Despite some hiccups, the Find N is shaping as one of the most innovative phones we've seen in a while. It seems Oppo has plans for a Chinese release only, and we can only hope it considers expanding its availability somewhere down the road - it deserves a broader reach.

Az Oppo tavaly megtalálta, idén pedig tovább tökéletesítette az ideális foldable méretet: a tömzsi N2 külső panelje perfekt az egykezes használathoz és remek a hátlapi szelfizéshez, a méretes belső pedig táblagépes felületet kínál hasonlóan remek fényerővel, gyűrődésminta nélkül. A gyártó zsanérban és konstrukcióban is profi munkát végzett, és bár a vízállóság nem fért bele, a dizájn és a forma annyira menő lett, hogy a teszthéten mindenki a csodájára járt. A Fold rajongók különösen elirigyelték a kevésbé hosszúkás és vastag keretes külső panelt, az Oppo pedig nem spórolt a villámhardveren, a doboztartalmon, a sztereó hangszórón vagy a két remek hátlapi kamerán. Még az Android 13 is megvan, hogy nehéz legyen az N2-nél jobb hajlíthatóra bukkanni a piacon. Csakhogy aki keres, nem biztos, hogy talál: a telefon jelen állás szerint nem kerül forgalomba itthon, a kínai változat meg nem rendelkezik Google keretrendszerrel vagy magyar nyelvvel. Kár érte, mert világpiaci megjelenéssel megszorongathatta volna a saját dominanciájába beleszürkült Samsung Z-vonalat, kis gyártásszámmal viszont olyan kuriózum marad, amitől a Foldnak nem kell haptákba vágnia magát és javítania a dizájnon. Maradt persze muníciója az N2 ellen: ilyen a jobb zoomkamera vagy az IPx8 védelem, viszont jövőre különösebb szégyenérzet nélkül lenyúlhatná a Find szimpatikusabb arányait. Az Oppónak végül azt üzenem: hozza be bátran tablet/telefon hibridét az N2 Flip mellett, mert többen jelezték a teszthéten, hogy ha összecsukható és drága, olyat különlegességet vinnének haza, amit egy és két kézzel is ideális használni – és ez a készülék létezik, csak nem kapható errefelé.

The Oppo Find N2, the latest in the company’s foldable line, showed a marked improvement in the screen performance from its predecessor, the Find N, in readability and artifacts thanks to its reflectance measurement. In its default mode, the Oppo Find N2 uses the wider Display-P3 color gamut, which tends to give sRGB photos a more saturated look. But the screen’s colors were generally accurate and consistent when viewing photos, despite a noticeable pink hue. When watching HDR10 videos, the device’s automatic brightness is too low for comfortable viewing, and the user might have to adjust the brightness manually. While the display is well-adapted to indoor use, its brightness can be still be low when using the device outdoors in bright conditions. However, this smartphone features an anti-reflection film, which significantly improves the screen’s readability outdoors.

With a DXOMARK Audio score of 135, the Oppo Find N2 proved to be an all-round strong performer in our tests. In playback, the sound signature was very pleasant, even at maximum volume, but a lack of dual stereophony (stereo output in landscape and portrait orientation) meant that the Oppo failed to really stand out. Playback performance was overall very good when listening to music or watching movies, but it was also quite good for gaming. Recording results were excellent, especially with the main camera. Performance was slightly less good for the front camera and recorder app, but still very good. Recording quality remained good at high sound pressure levels, for example, when recording concerts. A wide rendition of the stereo sound scene also resulted in an immersive experience.

The same goes for the Oppo Find N2 as it can deliver a pretty decent size display with more camera options to tweak, and various custom features. Not to forget, it’s quite lightweight compared to other foldable phones with better performance and camera. But, a little bit of speedy charger or wireless charging won’t hurt the feelings. It’s just a few nitpicking; even then, it’s a dealbreaker for many users. Anyway, the phone is not going on the international market yet (at the time we are reviewing the phone). However, let’s hope that we see the third generation phones on the global stage. As for alternative options, you can consider Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 for better specs but it will cost a little more.

In China, the Oppo Find N2 costs the local equivalent of $1,150 and is available to buy there now. It’s possible to import the phone to the U.S., and expect to pay around $1,500 depending on the store and factors like the exchange rate if you do, but should you? Probably not. I’d had more than enough of the software annoyances after a week or so, and I doubt very much I’ve experienced all the issues the phone will have when forced to work outside China. Expect to run into more than I’ve described here, as our use will certainly differ. That’s before concerns over connectivity, call performance, and a warranty when importing one. There’s very little wrong with the Find N2 when you don’t consider the software, which isn’t the phone’s fault at all, just a consequence of my using it outside China. The lack of an IP rating and the missing wireless charging are the only major feature omissions, both of which are offered by the readily available Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The fact the Z Fold 4 is much easier to purchase makes it our recommendation if you’re looking for a big-screen folding smartphone and you don’t live in China. However, this is stating the obvious because Samsung really doesn’t have any competition. It’s the Z Fold 4 or nothing, really. That’s why it’s frustrating that the Find N2 isn’t more widely available with software that works for international audiences. It’s suitably different enough from the Z Fold 4 to entice those unconvinced by the Samsung phone’s unusual dimensions, the camera’s excellent, and performance rivals the best non-folding phone flagships too.

We're not quite in a position to recommend a Find N2 or advise against one, seeing how market specifics don't really present us with a choice. What we can say is that the second generation Oppo foldable maintains all that set the original one apart and made it a unique offering and build on that, resulting in an overall superior product. The displays retain the size and proportions of the Find N - possibly the best package for the most people, only now they get a brightness boost and extra smoothness on the cover. The phone's gotten appreciably lighter, has better cameras and performance and the speedy charging couldn't hurt. A couple of tough decisions had to be made to reach the lightness goals and the wireless charging fell victim, which is a bummer. The relocation of the volume rocker gives us pause as does the speaker arrangement, but that's mostly nitpicking. Ultimately, the one dealbreaking issue for us is not an issue with the phone itself - it's the fact that we can't really have one, not officially, and not with the software we're used to using. Let's keep our fingers crossed then that the Find N3 will finally make it out of China.

So, all in all, I think the OPPO Find N2 has phenomenal hardware – especially the hinge. The cover display aspect ratio is definitely up for debate as I prefer something taller but not as tall as the Z Fold 4. I personally find the nearly square unfolded display quite difficult to use – and to grab the phone with one hand. I still don’t know if OPPO will sell this phone anywhere else in the world because according to Android Authority, the global launch for the Find N2 is still under discussion.

If you tend to get your phones wet, this device is not for you, definitely. Also, there are some quirks with ColorOS that you may want to avoid, mainly because this build is not for global markets. On the other hand, this is the best foldable hardware out there, in my opinion. It’s incredibly well built, with a gapless design, minimal crease, and a very reliable folding mechanism. It’s also great for one-hand use, when folded, and it has a reliable camera and battery life, not to mention great displays and fast charging. Figure out what you want, and then weigh your options. It’s difficult to fault OPPO for IP rating and wireless charging considering they were aiming to hit this form factor. Both of those would make the phone bulkier.

Viszont nem vagyunk optimisták a nemzetközi árazást látva: a Find N2 Flip valamivel drágábbnak ígérkezik a hivatalos csatornákon, mint amennyiért a Samsung kínálja a Z Flip4-et, talán a Motorolát is megüti majd, miközben ez a két közvetlen konkurens hamarosan utódot kap (a Samsung augusztusban, a Moto talán májusban hozza a következő generációt), magyarán az Oppo nem csak árazásban kerülhet hátrányba, hanem tudásban is, hiszen mindkét bemutatás előtt álló aspiráns nagyobb külső kijelzővel érkezhet. Ez azt is jelenti, hogy egy kis ütemtévesztésben van a Find N2 Flip, mert bár vannak ütőkártyái mindkét konkurenssel szemben most, de ugyanennyi hátrány is elmondható, a Samsung a vízállóságot és a vezeték nélküli töltést, valamint a komplettebb kamerarendszert tudja felmutatni, a Motorola pedig a külső kijelző szinte teljes értékű használhatóságát kínálja. Éppen ezért — érdemei elismerése mellett — az Oppo készüléke nem tudja lesöpörni a már piacon levő vetélytársakat, de első próbálkozásnak nagyon összeszedett, sok szempontból átgondolt, csinos, jó méretű, odafigyeléssel készült telefon lett belőle, a kagylómobilok gyenge pontjának tartott üzemidőproblémát is megoldva. Ám ez kevés lesz egyelőre, mert hibák is akadnak a maximum középszerű ultraszéles kamera, az indokoltatlanul korlátozott összecsukott funkcionalitás kapcsán, a vízállóság és a vezeték nélküli tölthetőség hiánya is a negatívumok közé sorolható. Ezekkel persze együtt lehet élni, de ha tényleg szeretnének piacot szerezni, akkor az árazással is agresszívebben kéne bánni.

Despite newer phones like the Oppo Find N3 Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 bringing significant upgrades to the market, the Oppo Find N2 Flip still manages to hold its own. The 6.8-inch foldable inner screen has a barely visible crease, making it ideal for content consumption and a unique hinge that can fold completely flat. Furthermore, the cover screen is tall enough to be used single-handedly and is useful in most scenarios, although Oppo should have added support for more apps. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus can handle most tasks and even demanding games easily. Oppo has also delivered the Android 14 update on time and promises four years of OS updates, which is surprisingly good for a folding phone. Moreover, it is currently one of the few foldable in the market with a large 4,300mAh battery that can easily last a day. It can also be fully charged within an hour, making it great for most users. But the lack of wireless charging and IP Rating sticks out as a sore point, especially given the price of this phone.

Given Samsung — let’s be honest, OPPO has targeted the Z Flip — is on the 4th generation of the flip, I’m astounded that I’m saying this. Do note, however, I’ve said users who have the budget because when you can get a great phone like the Pixel 7 Pro for AU$1.299.00, or the Pixel 7 for AU$999.00 there’s a premium you’re paying for the folding technology. If you decide to drop the cash on a Find N2 Flip, you’re getting a great phone though with a couple of clear advantages over flip-style competitors. The cover screen is much easier to use and highly functional, the main screen folds flat with minimal crease which results in less ingress of pocket junk; reducing risk of screen damage in your pocket. If OPPO decides to run a special on this for the end of the financial year, knocking $200 to $300 off; grab one. Yes, it’s a first-generation device from OPPO, but they’ve clearly learned a lot from the competition and delivered something pretty impressive and a competitive price.

Its battery life was a real, pleasant surprise. The external screen is also the biggest in the market right now, which makes it much more functional than other models in this still emergent category. However, there is still something missing making this product fully relevant in our everyday life. I would like to have a real user interface for the external screen and not just shortcuts and widgets. That's still too limited daily. Anyway, foldable clamshell smartphones are usually the "poor man's" foldable smartphones. The specifications are a bit more limited and they are slightly cheaper than the classic foldable form factor. With that large screen justifying having a clamshell design, the Oppo Find N2 Flip seems more functional without having to sacrifice its compact form factor.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip performed well in our battery protocol tests. It ranked just below the average of our whole database, edging out the Samsung Galaxy Flip4 for the best score among the flip devices we’ve tested so far. The Oppo Find N2 Flip autonomy performances were decent. The 4300mAh battery lasted slightly more than 2 days, which was much better than other flip devices. The autonomy when gaming was quite impressive. However, the autonomy that was measured when calling or on the go was poor. The charging experience was slightly below average, and the recovered autonomy from a quick 5-minute charge was low. The 44W charger took 1 hour and 27 minutes to fully charge the battery, while a quick 5-minute charge provided only 3 hours and 23 minutes of autonomy on average. Moreover, the residual consumption of the charger was high when the device was fully charged and still plugged in. The charge efficiency results showed that the device was well-optimized, considering that discharge currents for streaming videos and gaming during our typical usage scenario were quite low. In fact, the discharge current for gaming was the best we had measured so far. When compared to other phones in the Ultra-Premium segment ($800+), the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s performance was in the top half of the database. Its autonomy was decent, and even slightly above average. The charging experience was below average, but its efficiency was excellent.

Oppo has added a flip phone to its line-up with the Find N2 Flip, which given its novel format and price, finds itself among the Ultra-Premium smartphones in the DXOMARK database. With an overall camera score that was a few points higher than the slightly older Samsung Galaxy Flip4, the Find N2 Flip’s primary camera delivered good image quality in both photo and video mode, particularly with a good texture/noise tradeoff. Still images featured good exposure and a wide dynamic range, especially when shooting landscape scenes. What held the N2 Flip back from a higher ranking were the instabilities in exposure, white balance and autofocus, as well as poor video stabilization, especially when capturing scenes with motion. Zoom performance was limited, which could be partially attributed to the physical design of the phone. Captured detail was low at all tele settings, mainly because the device lacked a dedicated tele camera, something most Ultra-Premium phones usually have. However, the device’s flip design leaves little room for an additional lens. The Oppo also does not have a macro mode. Portrait results in bokeh mode were nice, but overall, the Find N2 Flip camera struggled to keep up with the best in class in the Ultra-Premium segment.

The time of foldable phones hasn’t really come but looking at how almost everyone has thrown their hat in the foldable ring, brands are clearly wondering “apna time aayega”. At least Oppo certainly thinks that and has made a really good flip phone in its first attempt. The secondary display is far better than what we have come across. The real competition for Oppo right now is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and it is safe to say on that front, Oppo has a winner on its hands. Truth be told, some folks in South Korea should unquestionably be worried and look over their shoulders as Oppo has given the Galaxy Flip not just a run for its money but outshines in many aspects. Having said that, it’s not the perfect foldable phone. The camera setup isn’t a flagship one and when someone is out there to spend Rs 90,000 perhaps won’t like to make any sort of compromise. The Oppo Find N2 Flip is priced at Rs 89,999 for the lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. At the end of the day, this is a foldable form factor, which isn’t really everyone’s cup of tea right now. Those who really want a flip phone would perhaps be fine to overlook a few misses in the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Oppo has done an extremely fine job with its first flip phone and could very well become the first choice for those who want this kind of phone. Oppo hasn’t completely knocked it out of the park but has cleared the ropes handsomely.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip display offered a satisfactory experience, with a strong showing in color rendering in all lighting conditions. When checking static content or viewing images, the Oppo Find N2 Flip proved to be particularly good in indoor conditions, with colors and brightness particularly well adjusted, making the screen very readable. When using the device to watch HDR10 videos, our testers observed that the brightness was much too low to ensure comfortable viewing, and that the user might have to manually adjust the brightness adaptation. But the testers did not observe any HDR boost to improve the viewing of contents. The display appeared to sharpen details, but sometimes that would result in texture artifacts. During our outdoor tests in direct sunlight, our experts observed that the screen did not reach the 1600 nits of maximum brightness advertised in the specifications, and that the High Brightness Mode did not activate soon enough, which would impact readability outdoors. Still, the device reached 1350 nits in an extremely bright environment (>100K lux), even though this kind of lighting condition is rarely experienced, and High Brightness Mode can be improved with some tuning. This smartphone features an anti-reflection film, which not only reduced the visibility of the crease in all conditions but significantly improved readability outdoors.

Do you wish the good times would come back again? That's a broad, yet oddly specific statement to these times, and one that Chinese phone makers would likely have plenty to say about. With a DXOMARK Audio score of 131, the Oppo Find N2 Flip delivered a pretty good performance in our tests. As a playback device, it was was not quite as good as the foldable N2 with its large dimensions in its unfolded state, but it had the edge in recording, delivering surprisingly good results. The playback experience with the built-in speakers was pretty much free of artifacts and offered good localizability on individual sound sources. The sound signature was a touch dark, though. Overall, the Oppo did best when watching movies and gaming, scoring slightly lower in the music use case. As a recording device, it did equally well across all use cases, delivering a pleasant sound signature, even at high sound pressure levels, for example at concerts and shows. Stereo recordings were very immersive as well.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is a pretty strong first attempt at a vertically folding phone, and in many ways offers stiff competition to Samsung. The more practical outer display, faster charging, and higher resolution primary camera are some of the main reasons to consider it over the Galaxy Z Flip 4. You also get more storage, as the 256GB variant of Samsung's Flip is priced higher. However, I can't ignore two big features that are missing from Oppo's offering: an official IP rating and wireless charging. The ultra-wide camera is also a bit underwhelming, and I don't think the outer display is being utilised to its full potential yet. Still, the launch of the Oppo Find N2 Flip in India means that buyers finally have a choice, and that's always a good thing.

This is Oppo’s most expensive phone in India in recent times. Yes, it takes on squarely the Z Flip4 in many ways. It definitely has an edge in some areas. The outer screen, the bigger battery, and faster charging are all plus points. The software features work well, though bloatware remains an issue. The foldable form factor also makes this an attractive product to consider. But the problem is brand perception, which is admittedly not easy to fight. Not to forget that Samsung regularly offers discounts on its foldable phones. At Rs 89,999, this is a pricey buy, for the form factor alone. Of course, with bank offers, Oppo’s price goes down to Rs 79,999 – though only if you are exchanging another Oppo device for this one. But then Samsung is offering its Z Flip4 latest at Rs 80,999 if one includes the bank offer, and the price will fall further as we have seen in the past. I’d say this is for those who don’t mind experimenting, are open to trying a foldable and don’t want a Samsung.

Absolutely, especially if you are in the market specifically for a flip phone, then this one is worth giving a try. I have also done a side-by-side comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 which you can read on India Today Tech or watch on FIIBER's YouTube channel but the Oppo phone definitely comes with less compromises. It has a pretty functional design, a decent camera performance, good software promises and, most importantly - good battery backup and fast charging support. In exchange, you will have to give up on the IP rating and wireless charging support, which I happily would as long as Oppo delivers on the 400,000 folds without any damage.

Competition is good for many reasons, but looking at the Oppo Find N2 Flip, there are two things in particular that stand out. The first is price. At £849 (around $1,025), Oppo’s foldable flip phone is £150 more affordable than Samsung’s comparable Galaxy Z Flip 4 was at launch in the UK, and that’s currently Oppo’s most serious competitor outside of China. (Although the Find N2 is releasing “globally,” Oppo’s definition doesn’t extend to North America.) Undercutting it on price like this is important, especially if Oppo can pressure Samsung to cut prices to stay competitive. Second is variety. Although Oppo’s foldable has the same overall form factor as Samsung’s Z Flip devices, which fold from a regular size smartphone down into a compact square to make them more pocketable, it has a much larger cover display for viewing notifications and controlling features. It means there’s a lot of potential here to do more with Oppo’s foldable without having to flip it open first. Yes, at the end of the day, you’re still going to be flipping open the phone for most tasks. But considering it undercuts Samsung on price with a very comparable set of features, the Find N2 Flip ends up being a surprisingly competitive alternative to the Z Flip 4 — so long as you trust Oppo’s durability claims.

While the Find N3 Flip's raw performance (including gaming), overall camera quality and battery life (including charging) are quite impressive for a clamshell foldable, it's all stuck behind an oddly laid out cover display experience, one that will vary depending on the apps that you use on a daily basis. Pick this one if you don't use the cover display often on your current foldable or don't intend to on your first one.

All things considered, the OPPO Find N3 Flip is a great well-rounded flip phone. OPPO has latched on to its strength in this category – nice design, big battery, good performance and a great user experience. Where it mainly focuses on this time around is the camera. With the Hasselblad partnership and OPPO’s engineering experience, it managed to make a camera system worthy of a flagship phone despite the obstacles and challenges presented by a foldable device. The Find N3 Flip is a testament to that. It’s not a perfect one, noting the lack of a proper IPX rating but a great flip phone, nonetheless. With a suggested retail price of Php64,999, that is a 30% jump in price tag compared to its predecessor (the Find N2 Flip had an SRP of only Php49,999 when it came out). OPPO is kind of overreaching here and this price difference is inexplicably beyond us. Well, except for one possible reason — OPPO wants to go head-to-head with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5 and see if can match the brand’s equity with their own engineering feats.

It does score in software, and even offers an IP68 rating and wireless charging. However, it’s not so strong in other aspects like charging speeds, and cover screen usability. The fact that the Find N3 Flip is an evolutionary upgrade over its predecessor isn’t unexpected, but the good thing is that it does come with some handy additions that sweeten the deal.. the telephoto camera and the alert slider for instance. The software could do with a bit of a cleanup, and the lack of wireless charging is noticeable, especially at this price point. However, the handset scores in crucial aspects like cover screen usability, performance and cameras, with its build quality and hinge durability adding to its appeal.

Okay, so in the end, should you buy the OPPO Find N3 Flip? Well, it ultimately depends on what you want. I think between this and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, I consider them to be on par with each other. Cameras on the Find N3 Flip is obviously much better, and having an alert slider is just a big quality of life improvement. However, the Z Flip5’s larger cover display is more functional yet just looks better than the Find N3 Flip’s empty patch of space. Both phones’ hinge are similar as they close with virtually no gap, but the Find N3 Flip has a weird snapback yet has a much shallower crease. As for the price – it’s RM4,399. Slightly lower than its competitor, but like what we said earlier – there are definitely pros and cons between these two phones. So, which one will you pick? The Find N3 Flip or the Galaxy Z Flip5? Personally, I’m not a Flip guy. I’m more interested in the OPPO Find N3 Fold. Hopefully, I can get my hands on it soon.

At RM7,999, the Find N3 is a big boy’s toy, a device for someone with oodles of disposable income and to that end, it’s a luxury item that, while not necessarily practical at times, individuals would buy, all for that “look at me, look at me”, while it lasts. And believe me, unfolding this device in public during the review process has actually gotten me some unexpected attention, with folks falling to the allure of that big Hasselblad module and coming up to me, asking about it. And yes, it may not be as feature-friendly as the Galaxy Z Fold5, a foldable which has basically become the benchmark that every other foldable entering the market needs to meet or beat. Did I have fun using the Find N3 as my daily driver, along with features like its Boundless View mode and the fact I can pretty much use Google Wallet with it? Absolutely. Would I recommend it wholeheartedly as a common option to the masses?

The Find N3 is a worthy entrant into the large foldable space, together with the OnePlus Open that shares most of its DNA. It competes well with the benchmark in the class, the Galaxy Z Fold5, by delivering as good or better results in key areas, while not really falling short in any major way. For example, the Find N3's rear cameras are more versatile on both the ultrawide and telephoto end. The displays on the Oppo foldable are nicer in almost every way, and on top of what is mostly a tie battery life, the Find N3 adds quicker charging. The nice speakers help too. The Oppo also offers a compelling alternative to what's been one of Samsung's key selling points - the software bits to make the most out of the form factor. Other makers have been unable to nail those until now, but ColorOS appears to have done it just right. Where the Find N3 can't quite challenge the Galaxy is in water resistance and high refresh rate handling when it comes to gaming.

So, for the price of RM7,999, is the OPPO Find N3 worth it? I’ll say yes and no. It kinda depends on what you want. I think the cameras on the OPPO Find N3 are definitely fantastic, alongside the alert slider and some of the software features. I am optimistic about this, but I am also cautious about other aspects like IP rating, the taskbar that’s oddly limiting, and the Fineasy… that needs to change. I just think that the price of RM7,999 is definitely high, and it’ll be interesting when we put things in perspective with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 which costs RM700 cheaper for the same storage configuration. Again, that comparison will come soon. So that’s all I have to share with you in this video. Is the OPPO Find N3 the perfect foldable device? Definitely not. There is no perfect foldable device, at least not right now.

SD 8+ Gen 1: A 2021 végén bemutatott, okostelefonokba szánt csúcskategóriás SoC, amelyet 4 nm-es gyártáson gyártanak a TSMC-nél. Egy ARM Cortex-X2 architektúrán alapuló, akár 3,2 GHz-es órajelen működő "Prime Core"-ot integrál. Három további teljesítményű mag az A710-en alapul, de legfeljebb 2,5 GHz-es órajelen működik. Ezenkívül négy energiatakarékos magot is integráltak, amelyek az ARM Cortex-A510 architektúrán alapulnak, és legfeljebb 1,8 GHz-es órajelen működnek. A processzormagokon kívül a SoC egy WiFi 6e modemet, egy Hexagon DSP-t (az AI gyorsításhoz) és egy Spectra ISP-t is integrál. A 2022 végén bemutatott, okostelefonokba szánt csúcskategóriás SoC, amelynek gyors, akár 3,2 GHz-es órajelen futó ARM Cortex-X3 architektúrán alapuló fő magja van. Két másik nagy teljesítményű mag az A715-ön alapul, és szintén csak 64 bites alkalmazásokat támogat. A másik két A710-es mag szintén 32 bites alkalmazásokat támogat, akárcsak az energiatakarékos Cortex-A510-es magok. A processzormagokon kívül a SoC egy WiFi 7 modemet, egy Hexagon DSP-t (az AI gyorsításhoz) és egy Spectra ISP-t is tartalmaz. Az integrált memóriavezérlő támogatja a gyors LPDDR5x memóriát 4200 MHz-ig. Az 5G a Snapdragon X70 modemmel került a chipbe.
