The Oppo A6 Pro was announced on September 23, 2025, and became available a few days later on September 29. At first glance, it feels like a well-balanced mid-range phone with a premium touch. It comes with a slim body measuring 8 mm and weighs just 185 g, making it comfortable to hold despite packing a large battery. Oppo has focused strongly on durability this time, offering IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance along with MIL-STD-810H compliance, which adds extra confidence for daily rough use. The phone also looks stylish, with color options like Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, Coral Pink, and Rosewood Red that cater to different tastes. The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations feel smooth.

Overall, the OPPO A6 Pro 5G shows a lot of potential. It's a device that prioritizes durability and battery life, making it perfect for those with "butter fingers" who drop their phones often, or for business use as a kiosk or stand device. The long battery life and the sturdy construction ensure you will be able to use it continuously, no matter the condition you’re in. Still, I do wish OPPO fitted a more powerful chipset and cameras to make it a better all-around phone. For its price, it’s possibly one of the toughest in the price segment, featuring IP69 and MIL-STD-810H compliance, and a massive 7000mAh battery (or 6500mAh depending on the region). But, you do sacrifice the performance (Dimensity 6300 chipset) and camera experience. Whatever the case, what do you think of the OPPO A6 Pro 5G?

Being more expensive than its predecessor, I wished OPPO also gave the A6 Pro 5G a processor upgrade as well to give it even better value for money.

The screen delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2372 pixels, along with about 397 ppi density, giving text and images crisp edges. Brightness peaks at 1400 nits in HBM mode, so outdoor visibility feels reliable. The phone is also tough on the outside. It features an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, plus MIL-STD-810H compliance, which gives the device extra confidence in rough environments. The AGC DT-Star D+ glass adds protection against scratches. Performance is handled by the Mediatek Helio G100 chipset built on a 6 nm process.

60% Oppo A6 Pro review: Middling but fast-charging

The key selling points for the Oppo A6 Pro: A large 6,500mAh battery, IP69 dust and water resistance, as well as military-grade shock resistance. But my first impression was that there's barely a camera bump, which means it lies almost perfectly flat on the desk, with no slipping or sliding. The phone is also pretty handy to hold and use, thanks to the now-standard flat sides and flat screen. Bezels are reasonably slim for a mid-range model (S$399), and the 6.5-inch AMOLED screen is decently bright. But every affordable phone has to make compromises. And Oppo has opted for a middling processor that is just about the slowest we have tested in a 2025 smartphone. Now, we haven't reviewed budget phones so far, but the Oppo A6 Pro falls behind even other mid-range models in this S$400 price range, like the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The cameras (or should I say camera) are also not quite up to par with the competition.

Mediatek Dimensity 6000:

Dimensity 6300: A CPU összesen nyolc magot kínál, amelyek két klaszterre oszlanak. Az egyikben két ARM Cortex-A76 teljesítményű, egyenként legfeljebb 2,4 GHz-es, míg a másikban hat ARM Cortex-A55 energiatakarékos, egyenként legfeljebb 2,0 GHz-es mag található. RAM-ként 2133 MHz-es LPDDR4x RAM használható, belső memóriaként pedig az UFS 2.2 támogatott. A Dimensity 6300 nagyon hasonlít a régi Dimensity 6080-ashoz.

Mediatek Mediatek Helio G:

Helio G100: ARM-alapú okta-core SoC (2x Cortex-A76, 6x Cortex-A55) 64 bites támogatással és akár 2,2 GHz-es órajelekkel okostelefonokhoz és táblagépekhez. Integrál egy Cat-13 4G LTE modemet. A MediaTek Helio G96-tal ellentétben a G99 a modernebb 6 nm-es eljárással készül, és magasabb órajelet kínál.
