The TravelMate P2 (TMP215-55) is a solid offer in its class if you order it with a 10-core processor and at least 16GB of RAM. This reminds us that you get good upgradability and port selection which makes this device future-proof. The keyboard and the touchpad are also good enough for work or daily usage. We could only wish for a bit more solid main body. The optional IPS display (N156HCA-EAB (CMN1561)) is business as usual. It’s PWM-free which is the most important thing for prolonged hours of usage. The panel’s viewing angles are wide and the max brightness reaches 342 nits. Expectedly, the color coverage and the accuracy are nothing to write home about. The TravelMate P2 is an inexpensive office workhorse that may attract future buyers with its IPS display, good battery life, rich port selection, and nice upgradability.
