The $1,200 Acer Swift 3X truly surprised and impressed me. Our only real gripe with last year’s Swift 3 was with its performance. Finally, we’ve seen Intel make a real effort in the discrete GPU market. At least for laptops. If 2020 wasn’t weird enough, now it is. Nevertheless, we still think that they have a lot of work to be done, particularly in the software. As the 3DMark Firestrike Graphics score suggests, the Iris Xe Max Graphics has the raw power to compete even with the GeForce GTX 1050. However, real-world tests showed that the performance was slightly better than the MX350, and pretty much on par with the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7.

Az adott modellel kapcsolatban az egyetlen komolyabb kritika az alaplapra forrasztott memóriát érheti, a 8 GB ugyanis hamar kevésnek bizonyulhat, bővíteni viszont nem tudjuk. Létezik 16 GB-os modell is, ám azt Core i7-1165G7-tel szerelik és 440 000 forintba kerül. Önmagában a Core i7-1165G7-re nem érdemes itt költeni, a potenciálisan magasabb órajeleket csak ritkán fogjuk látni, teljesítményben 8-10%-nál nagyobb előnyre nem számíthatunk. A Core i5-1135G7-tel viszont kifejezetten jó ajánlat ez a notebook, akár otthoni, akár munkahelyi környezetbe szánjuk.

I think you have to really want the GPU. If you don’t, but you’re shopping at this price point and are a fan of the Swift line, the Swift 5 offers better build quality, a thinner and lighter chassis, and a better keyboard and touchpad for just $100 more, with integrated graphics that are still pretty dang good.
