The Predator offers a Core i7 CPU, a GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU, 16 GB of RAM, and space for three drives (2x M.2 SSD, 1x 2.5-inch). This is complemented by a responsive Full HD display (IPS, 240 Hz) and quite good battery life. The laptop heats up considerably under load, though.

But it might be tough to hand over $1,699 when you’re getting short battery life and crappy speakers. Our advice? Save yourself some money and go with the Strix G15 Advantage ($1,549 - $1,699), which offers over 10 hours of battery life and a more powerful CPU. However, you’ll be missing out on the Predator’s more colorful display and slightly stronger GPU. The Predator Helios 300 is a solid gaming laptop, and is worth considering as long as you’re okay with the poor runtimes and audio.

EN→HUThe Helios 300's ace in the hole is its $1,349 base model, which is still more than capable of 1080p gaming thanks to its GeForce RTX 3060. Its partial metal design, good port selection, and nifty one-button overclocking help it stand out against rivals at that price level. A fine choice, the Predator Helios 300 once again takes our Editors' Choice award among midrange 15.6-inch gamers, while Alienware, with its similarly "modern classic" m15, holds the high ground.

EN→HUAcer’s Predator Helios 300 comes in a variety of configurations at multiple price points. I favorably reviewed last year’s entry, but the model I tested had a price tag of just $1,199. This new RTX 3070-powered Helios 300 is priced at $1,699, which pits it against serious competition. Alienware’s m15 R4 is currently available with similar hardware for about $1,750 on Dell’s official website, while Razer’s Blade 15 is $1,999, again with similar hardware. These laptops are well worth a small increase in price. Then there’s the deep breath Asus ROG Strix G15 AMD Advantage Edition which, despite its long-winded name, can beat the Helios 300’s performance when ray tracing isn’t a concern.

Nagy teljesítményű hatmagos processzor, amelyet a vastagabb laptopokba terveztek, ahol a jobb hőháztartásnak is helye van. A Comet Lake-H processzor a harmadik generációs 14 nm-es Intel-eljáráson készül, és 350 MHz és 1150 MHz közötti órajelű UHD Graphics 630 iGPU-val rendelkezik. A CPU-magok 2,6 GHz-es (alap órajel) Boostinggal 5 GHz-ig futnak, a valószínűsíthető összes mag Boost frekvenciája pedig 4,3 GHz. A Hyper-Threading támogatás engedélyezve van, így minden magon egyszerre két szál futhat.
