Az AMD Carrizo notebookplatform elvileg nagyon sokoldalú, köszönhetően a változtatható TDP-nek. A gép által mutatott teljesítmény viszont jelentősen alatta marad még a 3 generációval ezelőttiCore i5-4200U-nak is. Az integrált Radeon R6 GPU hasonlóan muzsikál, összehasonlítva az elterjedt, régebbi Intel eszközökben megtalálható HD Graphics 520-szal, vagy a HD Graphics 5500-zal.

Az AMD gyengébb teljesítménye elfogadható lenne, ha a ProBook 455 jelentősen csendesebb lenne, és hosszabb ideig bírná telepről, de nem ez a helyzet. A gép nem melegszik kevésbé, és az üzemidő még rövidebb a vártnál.

A processzort nem számítva a ProBook 455 pont annyit nyújt, mint egy barebone, amelyet nem túl nehéz feladatokra szántak. Kinézet és funkció terén is jellegtelen, reméljük, hogy egy jövőbeli változatába legalább valamennyi funkcionalitást pakolnak, ide értve az USB-C -t és TrackPoint-ot.

Nem szívesen ajánlanánk a Carrizo SKU-t, mivel az idősebb Intel Core ix verziók többet nyújtanak és tovább bírják, mint a jelenlegi AMD-k.
