Olcsó irodai. A HP egy home-office -nak alkalmas laptopot dobott piacra a 15-ba077ng-vel. Csendes, hűvös működése, és gyors SSD-je szól mellette. Viszont a laptopnak vannak hibái is. Ez azonban a 450 eurós (~$482) árat figyelembe véve várható volt.

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Az AMD APU több, mint elegendő erőt biztosít az irodai és netes alkalmazásokhoz. Ezen felül, feltételesen lehetővé teszi olyan játékok futtatását, amelyeknek nincsenek komoly követelményei, vagy már régebben jelentek meg. A laptop semmilyen terhelés alatt nem válik nagyon zajossá, és szinte alig melegszik.

A HP egy elérhető árú otthoni irodai laptopot dobott piacra a 15-ba077ng képében.

A gyors SSD biztosítja a rendszer sima működését. Ez ugyan cserélhető, de a házat meg kell bontani hozzá. A laptop ugyanis nem rendelkezik szervizfedéllel. A beépített billentyűzet, és a középszerű üzemidő elégséges otthoni használat esetén. A matt Full HD panel viszont nem lelkesítő: sötét, kontrasztszegény, és a betekintési szögei is szűkek.

A HP által végzett masszív "lefaragások" elsőre nem tűnnek fel. A körülbelül 450 eurós (~$482) árfekvés feltűnik. A HP csak egy év jótállást ad a géphez, holott a többi gyártó két évet ad az olcsó eszközeihez is. Amelyek egyébként AC WiFi -t és gigabites Ethernetet is kapnak. A HP viszont csak egy Fast Ethernet portot épített a gépébe. Ezen kívül a HP 15-ösökből az USB-C is kimaradt. Ezen felül a kijelző telepről működve (50Hz-en) PWM vibrálást produkál.

Az általunk végzett különféle tesztek és benchmarkok egyértelműen megmutatják, hogy az AMD APU-s laptopok miért csak az Inteles vetélytársaknál alacsonyabb áron versenyképesek: az AMD processzorok gyengébbek, de magasabb az energiafelvételük. Utóbbi lerontja a telepről történő működés idejét is. A valamivel jobban teljesítő Radeon iGPU a mindennapokban nem jelent előnyt a felhasználóknak. Az AMD-nek nagyot kell dobnia az új Ryzen APU-kkal, hogy egyáltalán beérjék az Intelt, és újra jelentősek legyenek a laptopok terén.
